Eligibility

The Qualifier will host 32 players, 8 from each of the 3 Online Qualifiers, together with another 8 players placing 6th to 13th in the Malta BOV ePremier League 2019/2020 Edition. All players are Maltese residents with a valid EA Account who are 16 years of age or older. 

Format

Swiss Format Tournament, consisting of 6 rounds played on 2 legs. In case of a tie, match will go to Extra Time + Pens. Should this not be available, 3rd match will be played as Golden Goal. 

All matches will use the retail version of FIFA 21 Ultimate Team Friendly game mode. Players will have to add each other as Friends in the 1st party platform prior to playing. The default settings of the mode will be enforced automatically by the game, including the difficulty level and allowable assists.

Region

All matches must be played on an EU server.

Team Requirements

All competing players must submit the squad they will be using to the tournament officials by not later than noon on Friday 15th January taking into consideration the below requirements.

  1. Up to 1 ICON with an OVR rating of 89 or higher
  2. Up to 1 ICON with an OVR rating of up to 88
  3. Up to 2 non-ICON players with an OVR rating of 90 or higher
  4. Up to 2 non-ICON players with an OVR rating of 87 to 89
  5. All other players must have an OVR rating of 86 or below
  6. The limits above apply to both your starting players and substitutes. Your starting 11 do not need to contain your high rated players.
  7. If you do not have 2 ICONs or 2 players rated 90+, you may substitute an extra player item from a lower category. This means you can use a non-ICON player over 90 instead of an ICON up to 88.
  8. Your Goalkeeper has no restrictions and does not count towards these limits

No Shows

All no shows must be reported on the website. The No Show grace period time is 10 minutes after the match's original start time. For example, if a match is scheduled for 11:00 AM, the no show time for this match would be 11:15AM.

Should a player have any hardware or software problem, the match admin has the right to increase the no-show grace period.

Time Limit

Both players must report the match results within 10 minutes of its completion. Failure to report the match results on time or respond to any messages that you receive from a tournament official may result in you receiving the loss. Players cannot start a complaint after the 10 minutes compilation time is over or a match result was accepted.

Disconnections

In the event of a disconnect, the game should be resumed with an implied score and the remaining time in the match played out. It is important to contact a match official once a game gets disconnected. 

Cheating

Breaking any rule and any form of cheating, glitching, abusing in-game mechanics, or unsportsmanlike behaviour may result in a forfeit of a game, match, or ban from the Malta BOV ePremier League. Cheating, glitching, and abusing in-game mechanics accusations must be verified by a tournament official. Punishable unsportsmanlike behaviour includes, but is not limited to, excessive use of foul or degrading language. For all cheating claims, the burden of proof is on the accuser.

Behaviour

All players must act professional and display good sportsmanship throughout the qualifiers. This includes all forms of communication such as discord, in-game chat, etc. Code of conduct from official rulebook will be in place. 

Warnings

A player may get a warning if he does not obey the code of conduct available in the rules section

Disqualification

A player may be disqualified if he does not obey the code of conduct available in the rules section
