Eligibility

The Qualifier will host 32 players, 26 from the 4 Online Qualifiers, together with another 6 players placing 3rd to 8th in the Malta BOV ePremier League 2020/2021 Edition. All players are Maltese residents with a valid EA Account who are 16 years of age or older. 

Format

Swiss Format Tournament, consisting of 6 rounds played on 2 legs. In case of a tie, the match will go to extra-time and penalties. Should this not be available, 3rd match will be played as Golden Goal. 

All matches will use the retail version of FIFA 22 Ultimate Team Friendly game mode. Players will have to add each other as friends in the 1st party platform prior to playing. The default settings of the mode will be enforced automatically by the game, including the difficulty level and allowable assists.

The top 11 players will qualify for the Main Competition Stage. In case when one of the qualified players drops out, the top-ranked player from the eliminated players will take the spot, this goes on from one ranking to the next. Example: If the 4th qualified player decides not to participate in the Main Competition Stage, the 12th ranked player in the final Offline Qualifier standings, will be asked to take the spot. Should the 12th ranked player decide not to take the spot, the 13th ranked player will then be asked. This process will be applied until all spots are filled.

Game Version

Game version will be decided according to the below:

  1. In case one of the players is using a PS4 console, the PS4 version will be used.
  2. In case both players are using a PS5 console but one of them wants to play on the PS4 version, the PS4 version will be used.
  3. In case both players are using a PS5 console, and want to play on the PS5 version, they will be allowed to do so.

Region

All matches must be played on an EU server.

Team Requirements

No Loan Players.

No Shows

All no shows must be reported on the website. The No Show grace period time is 10 minutes after the match's original start time. For example, if a match is scheduled for 11:00 AM, the no show time for this match would be 11:10 AM.

Should a player have any hardware or software problem, the match admin has the right to increase the no-show grace period.

Time Limit

Both players must report the match results within 5 minutes of its completion. Failure to report the match results on time or respond to any messages that you receive from a tournament official may result in you receiving the loss. Players cannot start a complaint after the 5 minutes compilation time is over or a match result was accepted.

Disconnections

In the event of a disconnect, the game should be resumed with an implied score and the remaining time in the match played out.

Cheating

Breaking any rule and any form of cheating, glitching, abusing in-game mechanics, or unsportsmanlike behaviour may result in a forfeit of a game, match, or ban from the Malta BOV ePremier League. Cheating, glitching, and abusing in-game mechanics accusations must be verified by a tournament official. Punishable unsportsmanlike behaviour includes, but is not limited to, excessive use of foul or degrading language. For all cheating claims, the burden of proof is on the accuser.

Behaviour

All players must act professional and display good sportsmanship throughout the qualifiers. This includes all forms of communication such as discord, in-game chat, etc. Code of conduct from the official rulebook will be in place. 

Warnings

A player may get a warning if he does not obey the code of conduct available in the rules section

Disqualification

A player may be disqualified if he does not obey the code of conduct available in the rules section
