Let's take a closer look at what happened:

The 8 players coming from 2019/2020 edition were all in the limelight. Each one of them was not only expected to qualify but also to perform pretty well. Turbuleense, Luke Bartolo, IsaacKyleGrima, and Mizu were considered as the favorites followed by Lawfu and Ryan08011. New faces such as Shaun10x. EGKurstenFifa, Owen Galea were also considered amongst the favorites. During the first couple of rounds, the favorites had already started building up a lead and had to face each other as rounds progressed. The first surprise came at the 4th Round where Ryan08011 got eliminated and Mizu had to win both the 5th and 6th Round to make it through. The first 10 players were eliminated on Day 1 while Turbuleense and Shaun10x were the ones that secured a place in the main competition ending the day with 4 wins and 0 losses.

Day 2 kicked off with 22 players having 20 of them competing for the last 9 spots. Tension started building up and after the first hour, 6 other players were eliminated. Turbuleense continued his winning streak where he managed to beat Shaun10x in Round 4 taking his tally to 4 wins 0 losses. Round 5 was a nightmare for some of the players since their final match was a do or die while others could afford a more relaxed match since they had already qualified. Mizu, Moribeast9, and Karl_X, iTz-Julian, and Woncu were eliminated after some quite tense matches leaving the final 11 players qualifying for the Main Competition.
