Malta BOV ePremier League Group A Recap - Not So Close

Heading into this Group, Santa Lucia FC was expected to dominate this group and did so - it was a spectacle to watch.

Bearing this in mind, it was a skirmish for the remaining two seeds available to qualify for the Main Competition. This involved tight contention between Gzira United and Zebbug Rangers.

Although Gzira United managed to hold off Santa Lucia FC with a surprising draw, Zebbug Rangers managed to get the better of Gzira United in their head-to-head match-up.

Meanwhile, the likes of Sirens FC and Hibernians struggled to keep up with the intense competition from Group A, marginalized to the bottom of the group.
