In the past few seasons, the Malta BOV ePremier League featured a Group Stage with three groups, featuring its own advantages and disadvantages. 

For the MEPL 2024 season, we're going for a Group Stage with two groups of seven teams each, which should allow for more balanced groups with more matches to look forward to. 

Facing one another on 1 leg, points are earned as per traditional football rules:

• Loss - 0 points

With several tiebreaker criteria to consider, only the top 4 teams from each Group earn a spot at the Playoffs.
