The Malta ePremier League 2024/25 season culminated in a thrilling finale last Friday, witnessing esports history as Shaun ‘Brandsha’ Galea, representing Ħamrun Spartans, clinched his unprecedented third consecutive championship title! The final match day, broadcast live on TVMsport+, marked the successful conclusion of the league's sixth season, organised by GMR in collaboration with the Malta Football Association.
Brandsha's dominant and undefeated run through the Main Competition Knockout Stage solidified his championship victory. He successfully defended his crown against formidable contenders who emerged from a deep pool of talented players over seven action-packed live match days. Matthias ‘Tubbi’ Farrugia of Melita showcased incredible skill to secure second place, while Salvatore ‘Shortyy’ Assennato representing Mosta claimed a well-deserved third.
Mirroring the structure of the traditional 360 Sports Malta Premier League, the Malta ePremier League saw 12 dedicated esports athletes proudly represent each of the league's clubs. This season introduced a revamped format designed to amplify the excitement and create more pathways for aspiring esports stars. An impressive eleven players earned their spots in the Main Competition through a rigorous series of online and in-person qualifiers, while Brandsha entered as the reigning champion, ready to defend his hard-earned title.
The Malta ePremier League 2024/25 boasted a total prize pool of €10,000, with Brandsha claiming the top prize of €5,000.
